Amedeo Scofone
Associate Sustainability Consultant at Hilson Moran.
Amedeo is an environmental design expert and architect with over a decade of extensive experience in the field of construction and architecture. His expertise spans internationally a diverse array of projects, including high-rise, commercial, cultural, science campuses, residential, historic buildings, rail and temporary structures.He currently works for Hilson Moran as an Associate Sustainability Consultant, where he actively contributes to sustainable design practices. Additionally, he shares his expertise and passion by teaching environmental design and technical studies at institutions like the Royal College of Arts, AA School of Architecture, and the University of Westminster.
Anis Abou Zeki
Partner, Environmental Design and Sustainability, Foster+Partners, UK
Anis is Partner at Foster+Partners, he is an expert in integrated sustainable designs with more than twenty year experience in architecture, sustainable environmental engineering and masterplannig. He worked on international projects, leading a team of environmental designers and engineers delivering projects in different cities and climates. Anis is a LEED AP and GSAS-CGP with extensive knowledge in the application of sustainability and health and wellbeing strategies. He has presented at conferences and participated in several panel discussions. Anis is a guest lecturer and design reviewer at different renowned universities, and an advisory board member for Masters courses and research projects.


Ece Cakir Aidan
Director, CAS Design & Architecture, Turkey
Ece received her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at the University of Miami followed by a Sustainable and Environmental design M. Arch degree from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. She has worked on a variety of design projects in Central America, the Middle East, Central Africa, and Europe. In addition to her architectural practice, she co-founded the research and production platform The Circle in Istanbul and has worked as a part-time design instructor for ‘the Computation Based Design Studio’ at Istanbul Bilgi University. Ece was selected as a finalist in the category of ‘Best Architect’ in the 2019 WICE (European Women in Construction and Engineering) awards.
Fanor Serrano
Head of Sustainability, Upton-Hansen Architects.
Fanor Serrano is a London-based architect and serves as Head of Sustainability at Upton-Hansen Architects. He also oversees their in-house sustainability consultancy, Habiterra. Fanor holds a BA in Architecture from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogota, Colombia) and a master’s degree in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association School (London, UK). With more than 10 years of experience in the field of sustainability within the built environment, Fanor focuses on seamlessly integrating environmental impact reduction strategies into diverse architectural projects. His methodology is centred on transparent communication of environmental concepts and the organic incorporation of analytical tools within the design process.


Hector Altamirano-Medina
Associate professor, Bartlett, UCL
Dr Altamirano-medina is an Associate Professor at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources, Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering. He is an architect and interdisciplinary scientist with an interest in the health and wellbeing impact of the built environment and a wide-ranging experience in the indoor environment and operational performance of buildings, the development of mould and humidity conditions, in-situ monitoring, field surveys and experimental setup of buildings and its components. He significantly contributed to the establishment of the Healthy Infrastructure Research Group at the UCL Department of Civil and Geomatic Engineering and managed the AirPath: Working group on Outdoor Environments, Pathogens in Air and Human health. He has worked with MSc students in studies related to indoor and outdoor air pollution and infectious disease transmission in housing, from which papers have been published and presented in conferences and international meetings. Currently, Dr Altamirano-Medina is working in a number of moisture related research projects prepared in partnership with industry and public institutions and with the strong support of the UK Centre for Moisture in Buildings (UKCMB), where he serves as Academic Director.
Karen BouJaoude, PhD
Associate professor, Dean, Faculty of Architecture, Art & Design, Notre Dame University, Louaize, Lebanon,
Dr. Boujaoude, is an Architect with a Doctorate in Project Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration and International Business. The learning diversity that Dr. Boujaoude chose to get hold of opens a variety of teaching dimensions which makes her able to teach design, planning, cost control, as well as construction courses. Her main areas of expertise are in Sustainable design planning and management. She has been involved in several local projects from design to construction, experiencing the current fragmentation of architecture practice while focusing on the importance of communication between all involved parties of a project to achieve a successful result. Her research study is in the fields of design and construction management, team organization, sustainable strategies and ethics in architecture. She has several publications in International Peer-reviewed Journals


Rafael Herrera Limones, PhD
Professor , University of Seville, Spain
Professor Rafael has a Doctorat of Architecture from the University of Seville – with International Mention – with the research title: “The sustainable warp as a tactic for architectural work”. He is the Principal Investigator-Responsible of the Research Group HUM-965 “TRANSHUMANCIES: habitat, health, heritage, technology and art”, of the Junta de Andalucía. He is also the director of the “Decathlon Solar Team of the University of Seville”: international, competitive and institutional research contract. He served as a Deputy Director/Vice Dean of Sustainable Habitat of the E.T.S.A. from the University of Seville (2016-2020). Also, he is a member of the Academic Commission of the “Doctoral Program in Architecture” of the U.S. (since 2020). He follows on Masters and PhD thesis in regional and international co-tutoring. Winner of numerous regional, national and international awards in the field of architecture, energy and sustainability. His research involvement has a regional, national and international outreach around architecture, comfort, and sustainable design. He has authored and co-authored a large list of publications in peer reviewed journals, as well as global conference proceeding in both Spanish and English language.
Rohit Grag
Principal at GRAS, India
Rohit is an architect by profession, with 14 years of experience. He studied Masters in Sustainable Environmental Design (M Arch SED) from the prestigious Architectural Association, London. An experienced Senior Architect in sports, entertainment and convention exhibition venue projects, he has worked on various international projects in the UK, Australia, China, South East Asia, Middle East and India including marquee projects like the world’s largest cricket stadium – Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad with 1,10,000 seats and the new 123 acre IECC Pragati Maidan Masterplan redevelopment in New Delhi. He is also the design architect for the 75,000 seater International Cricket Stadium in Jaipur, India. Most recently, he is at the fore front of a world class performance and visual arts venue coming up in New Delhi.


Ruggero Bruno Chialastri
Senior architect; Zaha Hadid Architects, UK
Bruno gained his degree in Architecture at the ‘Sapienza’ University of Rome. Following that, he enrolled in the Sustainable Environmental Design Programme at the Architectural Association of London, where in 2011 he graduated with a Masters degree. His passion for Architecture brought him to various roles in Italy, the Netherlands and finally London were he gained experience in several organisations including Heatherwick Studio and Foster + Partners. Over the years he has had the opportunity to be involved in various international projects such as the Google HQ in London designed together with Bjarke Ingels Group, the MOCAA in Cape Town, the Forestias, a residential neighbourhood in Bangkok, and many others mainly in Europe and Asia. Nowadays, his main interest is in parametric and complex geometries. He currently works as a Senior Architect for ZHA.
Therezia Sloet tot Everlo
Director, Studio 3A, Portugal
Therezia is a registered Architect in both Portugal OA (Ordem dos arquitectos) and the UK ARB, and a R.I.B.A architect. She has a M.Arch in sustainable Environmental design from the Architecture Association, AA, London, 2012. For more than nine years (2014) she heads her own practice working on a variety of projects between the UK and Portugal. One of her latest project “Cabanas in Comporta” is nominated for best project by Archdaily.
