We at Dar[e] are excited to launch our Learning courses in Sustainability,

Join our already impressive research impact in published research both in global conferences, as well as in major peered review journals. Add to that our comprehensive university course books with the one-of-a-kind exercise book. 


Learn The fundamentals of Sustainable design: Solar Geometry, ventilation, Materials thermal behavior and heat transfer, 

Learn about some key local projects that are great example of good sustainable design and architecture

Do some hand on building temperature monitoring

Test your know-how with the available exercises, 

Engage and discuss your sustainable idea(s) with our founder and director Philippe H. Saleh, PhD

And finally put learning outcome to practice by designing for the next Dar[e] competition.

This course is open to individuals and or teams.

Live meeting once a week for 2 to 3 hours, extending for 12 weeks/sessions

Registration is of 200 $ per team (up to 4 members) including:

Free Sustainability books for the course (french or enlgish) for all team members

Free registration for the next Dar[e] competition

One project feedback session every two weeks once the course is completed and the competition is launched.

Hand on usage of temperature data loggers for building monitoring.

Certificate of Successful completion (conditional of passing the examination)

Learn the challenging part of local data gathering 

Learn all about the carbon footprint method of calculation

Learn about the dams in the Mediterranean context

Engage and discuss your Water scarcity idea(s) with our founder and director Dr. Philippe H. Saleh

Do an advanced field search about water scarcity and carbon footprint with the aim to be worthy of publication in either a conference or even better in a peer review journal.

Although teams can join, but the type of research might be more suitable for individuals.

The course is divided into two parts: research and data gathering, the writing 

The research and data gathering spans for five (5) live sessions/weeks  each sessions averaging 3 hours

The writing phase is furthermore divided into two parts: the actual writing and paper termination, and followed by the conference/journal follow up.

The actual paper should not span more than three (3) months and include once session/review every two weeks.

Once this phase is completed, the next phase consists of the actual follow up from the external journal/conference reviewers and how to respond to them.

Registration is of 300 $ per team (up to 4 members)


Your knowledge of sustainable design is fine, and you are curious about more stuff

The course is based on 2 to 3 field trips 

Learn by observation about the various earth construction 

Learn how to present survey and findings in a clear way 

Two to three Site working visits in various locations, including some hands-on experiences, talks about the various technics, and actual site survey.  Spread over three months. 

Once the visits are done, three to five live sessions about the writing and presenting the findings in a way worthy of publications.
